Quality handmade shoes

We hand make these shoes in our southern Oregon workshop. We use premium quality heavy weight soft leathers that allow the shoes to conform to your feet, rather than your feet conforming to the shoes. We use a flexible sport sole that is replaceable when it wears out. We make our insoles of rubber padding including a rubber arch support that flexes with your feet as you walk. The rubber padding is topped with either leather or sheepskin, so that your foot touches natural materials that breathe and help wick away perspiration. All our footwear is made of machine washable leather, and can be resoled.

It generally takes  four to six weeks for us to make and ship your custom  footwear. We guarantee our footwear will make your feet happy.

 Thong Sandals $71.00 – made with or without the thong between the toe. Heavy weight breathable leather uppers and suede foot bed. Built in high density rubber padding for cushioned comfort. Long laces for wrapping around your ankles or cut laces shorter and tie over the top of your foot. Sport sole replaceable when worn out. Machine washable. These sandals bend with your foot as you walk.

 Sun Sandals $115 – Two brass buckles adjust straps over the ball of your foot. Another strap goes thru casing in heel piece and buckles around the front of your foot. Thick breathable leather uppers, suede foot bed. High density rubber padding built-in. The thick flexible sole provides even more cushion comfort. Can be resoled, machine washable.  Gazelles $96.00 – This shoe covers more of your foot than our sandals. Thick soft leather uppers. Leather strap with nickel buckle at ankle height. Removable insoles of high density padding and arch support covered with suede. Replaceable sport sole. These flexible shoes bend with your feet as you walk. Very comfy. Machine washable. Solid colors only.

 Sweetheart Shoe $165.00 - Our most tailored, dressiest shoe. In solid colors or two toned. Heavy weight leather. Strap buckles over the top of your foot with a brass buckle. Removable leather topped, padded insole with arch support. Thick, flexible cushioned sole. Can be resoled, machine washable. We have several appliqué options for this shoe.  Striders (one button) $126.00 – Our most popular shoe for men and women. Solid colors or two color tones. Heavy weight breathable leather. Strap goes thru the casing in the heel piece at ankle height and ties around the button . The basic Strider comes with a hardwood button. To choose another button, click on leathers and buttons. Removable leather topped padded insole with arch support. Thick, flexible cushioned sole. Can be resoled. Machine washable. Our most decorated shoe.  Steppers $176.00 – An ankle-high, front lacing shoe. Good for town or outdoor recreational use as the laces hold your foot directly over the sole of the shoe. Removable sheepskin topped  padded insoles with arch support. Thick flexible sole and soft, thick leathers allow this shoe to bend with your foot making for hiking or walking around town less tiring. Solid colors only. Can be resoled. Machine washable.

 Hi-Steppers $203.00 – An over the ankle, front lacing boot, 5-5 1/2” in height. The laces not only hold your foot over the shoe sole but also provide ankle support. Thick, soft leather uppers. Sheepskin topped rubber padding insole with arch support provide cushion and insulation from heat or cold. Thick, flexible and replaceable sole allows the shoe to bend with your foot so walking is much less tiring. Some appliqués can fit in the sides of the shoe. Click on fancies to see options.

Fancies:: On special request, we’ll add any of these appliqués, beadwork, and stone inlays to your shoes. The colors may be changed to fit your taste. Color choices are any of the thinner leathers shown when clicking on leathers or buttons. When you add appliqués to striders, we find the button distracts from the art work. Instead the lace goes thru a hole and ties back on itself.

We will exchange or refund the purchase price of any footwear which is returned to us in new condition. Please enclose a copy of your receipt.

We guarantee materials and workmanship for one year, barring abuse. After that time, we will repair your Country Spirit footwear for a modest fee.
